My Motorcity Phase: Hard Femcity

So Motorcity never got a second season. And it broke my heart. But before it finished, I entered a contest held by Titmouse to get some swag. The contest was 'The Ladies of Motorcity' to promote the wide range of ladies in the show. I decided I'd go the fashion route and create pictures showcasing weaponized femininity;

Originally, it would be one pictures with all the women just chilling and looking awesome. Because I was going through a bit of a rough patch, though, the final result was two individual portraits of characters Claire and Babs

Piccolo and Gohan

It was practically a decade since I'd seen Dragon Ball Z in any capacity, and then me and my friends just sort of returned to it. Watching something you idolized as a kid, seeing it all over again, the nostalgia can be extremely inspiring.

Revisiting Herz; Scene sketches

After I got Herz's new look down, I went on to creating the linework that would eventually come together into a full comic. While a lot of the pieces were finished, the whole never got constructed.

Revisiting Herz; groundwork

Around the fall of 2012 I was in a class that had me revisiting and revising my character, Herz. In this new story, he was an English teacher. I tried to give him a gentle giant kind of look, with a physique close to Bear!Flynn's

My Motorcity Phase; Motorcity Jak part 2

After working on the two protagonists, I moved on to integrating my favorite character, Torn, into Motorcity.

This outfit? Sadly too cluttered for the MC style

My Motorcity Phase; Motorcity Jak part 1

Besides Zelda another video game love of mine is the Jak and Daxter series. Living in a post-apocalyptic, tech heavy future and fighting the guy currently in control of a highly militarized city-state? Kind of a big plot of the second game. It and Motorcity have quite a bit in common.
